Fiji...First off, this is a dream trip for the intrepid adventurer! It's an outreach adventure, a daring step to allow God to do something amazing in your life. This will definitely be MORE than your average mission trip...physically, emotionally, and spiritually. God has called us to be radical and live our lives dangerously in Him, vulnerable and shamelessly persistent in our pursuit to reach out to those who don't know this kind of love. We will dare to put others first, walk in compassion, and surround each other with the courage to step outside of our fears and yield to God as He guides every step of this mission trip. After our flight on Fiji Air from Los Angeles to Nadi, Fiji , we'll take a smaller plane to Taveuni, and then a van to our mission base. Wide Awake Missions is uniquely partnering with a non-denominational, faith-based ministry of health professionals practicing in a faith-based community, called not merely to heal the body by providing competent, compaasionate health care, but to meet the spiritual needs of those we serve as well. This mission trip will truly be an experience of a lifetime, and we are absolutely certain that you will enjoy every moment!

Whether you are considering some sort of a medical/dental career, nursing, teaching, ministry, or just a student or person with a heart to serve, give, grow, and dig deeper into God's plan for your life...there is a place for you with us in Fiji!
Each day after breakfast, quiet times on the beach, some worship and a a short devotional, our team will spend the day assisting with medical/dental clinics; doing crafts in a school where we can share our faith and teach bible stories, doing skits, playing soccer/volleyball and ministering in the village school; and doing ministry/work outreaches in the local village, like small work projects, gardening, painting, etc, and spending time sharing our faith home to home and praying for their needs. Our team will also be visiting local schools where we'll sing, dance, play, and share many testimonies and bible stories involving the children in the program.
Evenings are spent in the community of friends and staff—eating, singing, dancing, worshiping, playing games, and, of course, enjoying the beautiful warm ocean waters of Fiji right outside our door. Free days and weekends offer swimming (both pool and ocean), snorkeling, kayaking, if it's not rainy there's an option to climb the volcano and trek to the historic and sacred “Cannibal Cave.” We'll also enjoy excursions to nearby Rainbow Reef for snorkeling and hiking, beautiful waterfalls to swim and jump off of, and visit the Kioa Polynesian Village where we"ll experience a cultural drum show.
New Zealand...Since we are in the neighborhood, this is a great optional opportunity for those that would like to venture to Tauranga/Mt. Maunganui, where we will base at this seaside peninsula. Our team will connect with an inner-city ministry and evangelize aronnd the community and university campus. Prostitution is legal in New Zealand and typically what is connected to this lifestyle are drugs, gangs, hopelessness, shame and fear. We will spend time worshipping and ministering to those that need a touch from God. On our free days we will visit Hobbiton, where the Shire is located (From the Lord of the Rings movie), Experience the amazing Glow Worm Cave, and Zipline one of the oldest forests in Rotorua, New Zealand.

New Zealand "Optional Extended" Adventure
July 28 - August 3, 2027
July 28: Depart Fiji for Aukland, New Zealand
This is a great optional opportunity for those that would like to venture to Tauranga/Mt. Maunganui, where we will base at this seaside peninsula. 2027 Fiji Basic Itinerary
July 18: Arrive Los Angeles
We will be meeting in the airport at 8pm for our 12:30am flight to Fiji.
July 19-20: Los Angeles to Fiji
Depart for Fiji (International ticket confirmation will be sent to you 30 days prior to departure.)
Beginning reception with our ministry partners in Fiji.
BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER. ACCOMMODATIONS: At the Missions Base (Accommodations are new and nice.)
July 20-28: Fiji
Mission Outreaches, Medical/Dental clinic training and assisting. Work alongside Christian, world-class medical and dental professionals in community village outreaches. Daily kids ministry and outreaches to the schools and local communities of Vanua Levu. Impactful work projects that help the community. Late Afternoon/Evenings are spent at the mission base eating, playing ping-pong, volleyball, pickleball, journalling, playing games, swimming and enjoying the beach. Free Days will be spent doing very exciting excursions.
Each day we will have daily "chapel", worship and devotionals. We will also have occasional evening meetings, game nights or movie nights, capture, the flag with the staff, kayaking in the bay to catch the sunrise...and SO much more!
